Teachers, it’s time to start planning some fun activities for Halloween! Students love Halloween. And if you’re a math teacher, adding a Halloween theme is a great way to keep students engaged and enthused about math. Decorate your classroom with Halloween themed bulletin boards, play spooky music, and assign a digital escape room with a Halloween theme. Review important concepts like Decimals, Geometry, Fractions, Multiplication, One-Step Equations, and Integers with a digital Bingo Game.
Digital Halloween Bingo Games
Digital Bingo with a Halloween theme is great fun and a break from regular math lessons. If students are given editing rights, they can scroll up and down a slide deck and find the digital bingo card they want. To claim a board, have them type their initials or name on one of the Bingo chips of their chosen board. This way other students know they need to keep scrolling and find a different board. If you have a large class and need more boards, just click on a slide and click “Slide”, “Duplicate”. You can duplicate as many slides as you need. All of the problems are provided on slide 3. As soon as you call a problem out to the students, drag and drop each to the right side of the screen so you know it’s been used. And clean up is super easy. Just have students click the “undo” arrow repeatedly and all chips go quickly right back into place. Do the same for the teacher slide. If you want to play a second time, have students clean their slide, and then scroll up and down to find a different board. Each board has a different Halloween themed Free Space. Have fun and review math at the same time!
